Private international law known as the “conflict of laws”, in common law oriented jurisdictions, examines the applicable law and jurisdictions that regulate private relations across the borders. Therefore, this module seeks to determine which national law applies to the business disputes and family law, inheritance law, contract law etc, which have international features. It also seeks to harmonization between municipal law and international; consensus in deciding which law to recognise and enforce in another national state. In addition, private international law seeks to balance sovereign action with those of the private sector.
