COURSE AIM

This module provides the student with opportunities to better understand the relationship between employee wellness, accidents and the organization.  It provides practical application of the Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) and supporting Jamaican and international legislation and best practices.  It also provides a deeper understanding and appreciation of how the areas of employee wellness and safety can improve an organization’s effectiveness, efficiency and ultimately its profitability.  



The AISM/HRM Seminar 2 module is a follow-up to AISM/Human Resource Management Seminar 1 module which provides opportunities for students  to engage in foundational planning for the hosting of a national Human Resource and Administrative and Information Systems Seminar during the first and second semester during the course of study.

Such foundational planning focuses on building student knowledge, skills and attitudes that would enable them to perform management functions within typical Jamaican business organization.

Students will also explore current and future issues relevant to the administration and management of organization.



Organizations continue to outsource critical HR Management and other functions as they seek to contain cost and focus on their core business. This module provides opportunities for students to be understand the fundamentals of the business consultant relationship through the opportunity to learn about and apply consulting methodologies.


This module of instruction provides opportunities for students to explore principles, systems, structures and human interventions relating to organizational renewal and change given the dynamism within the wider business environments.
