This module provides students with the concepts, strategies, and tools necessary to design and manage integrated systems of technology, people, information, and customer relationships, to achieve competitive advantage.  It takes into consideration the unique characteristics of services and the system configurations that are required to address them.

The module explores the principles of strategy and organization that are involved in an organization’s choice to develop, adapt and adopt technology in manufacturing and operations processes. The module links science and management disciplines in demonstrating to students how to plan, develop and implement technological capabilities to shape and accomplish the strategic and operational goals of an organization. It explores the role of general management in creating the organizational climate for managing innovation and intellectual capital.
